Description:
Latin name: Helianthemum nummularium. Red Data Book species. Is an important plant for many insects such as being the main foodplant for the larva of the Northern Brown Argus butterfly (a UK Priority species) as well as a number of moths, a number of small beetles feed on the foliage and is an important pollen source for numerous bees. It is usually found on dry warm alkaline south-facing slopes in meadow grasslands.

- Description: Latin name: Aglais urticae. Found in most habitats where stinging nettles occur which is their caterpillar foodplant. The adults feed on a variety of flowers including buddleia and sedum and overwinter as adults and can live for up to 11 months.
